Norwegian Cruise Line is a light-hearted, carefree cruising company that emphasizes fun "Freestyle Cruising." The line has been in operation since 1966 and employs their freestyle concept to every aspect of the cruising experience, whether it is dining, entertainment or accommodations. With ships cruising to destinations all over the world, from tropical to arctic, Norwegian Cruise Line has a vacation for all types of travelers.
Whether it's a full family vacation or a two-person exploration voyage, it's best to do things the "Norwegian Way". This means complimentary dining on your time, entertainment options for all ages and having your accommodations your way. That means you can have a three-course meal for dinner, or a quick bite before a night of dancing. It means you can see the Blue Man Group, take in the Nickelodeon Experience, watch movies at sea or just sit down for a night of poker at an award-winning casino.
Accommodation
While you are at sea, your stateroom is your home away from home. The beauty of a cruise is that you don't have to unpack multiple times and move from hotel room to hotel room. Norwegian wants you to be comfortable in your stateroom, so they have designed a variety of rooms to help you find your perfect fit.
For those looking for an exclusive retreat while sailing on one of Norwegian's bigger ships, book a suite in the Haven. The Haven is like a special club for guests and offers passengers access to a private sun deck with a pool and hot tubs, along with butler service around the clock. Other perks of staying in the Haven include priority embarkation; gourmet treats delivered to your stateroom each evening and a cocktail party with the ship's officers.
Norwegian also offers passengers spa suites, which give you easy access to the thermal suites, sauna, hydrotherapy pools, steam room and heated loungers in the Mandara Spa. These suites are designed to help passengers truly unwind and distress while onboard with tranquil colors and beautiful balcony views.
Norwegian also offers a selection of family suites, balcony staterooms, ocean view staterooms and inside cabins. But to truly experience a cruise we recommend a stateroom with a balcony. There is simply nothing like waking up to the ocean breeze, or having one-on-one time out in the middle of the ocean. Norwegian even offers mini-suites for those looking to experience the luxuries of a suite, but on a budget. The smallest staterooms onboard are the Studios, which are perfect for the solo traveler.
Dining
Enjoy a four-course meal and a great bottle of wine. Or grab a burger hot off the grill. Dress up. Dress down. Sit with your friends or make new ones. Dine inside or Oceanside along the Waterfront. Only Norwegian offers the freedom and flexibility of Freestyle Dining, which means no fixed dining times or pre-assigned seating. And since we’re the only cruise line with a fleet of ships specially built with restaurants from bow to stern, you can enjoy more dining options than days of your cruise, whenever you like. So follow your mood, not a schedule.
Complimentary Dining Options
Our entire ships offer beautifully crafted menus in up to three Main Dining Rooms, a help-yourself buffet, a variety of casual cafés, grills and grab-and-go choices – and our wildly popular O’Sheehan’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill. From prime rib to grilled salmon to our chef’s original dishes made with the finest ingredients, your dining can be as fine or as fun as you want.
Specialty Dining
When you want a unique dining experience, our specialty restaurants offer a variety of tastes for every palate. Experience the fine seafood cuisine of Ocean Blue. Indulge in succulent meats at Moderno Churrascaria or on Certified Angus Beef® at Cagney’s Steakhouse, exclusively on Norwegian. Dine on expertly prepared chicken, steak and shrimp at Teppanyaki. Or savor French cuisine at Le Bistro and go for Italian at La Cucina. They’re all on board – and they’re all delicious. Cover charges range between $20 - $40 per guest.
Family Dining
Freestyle Dining provides dining choices that satisfy even the pickiest eater in the family. Grab a burger hot off the grill or sit down for a four-course meal. Dress up. Dress down. You'll find more dining options than days of your cruise, and you're free to enjoy them all on your own schedule.
